Dear Medicine Horse Community,
As we step into the new year, we are thrilled to share some exciting developments with you. Thanks to your ongoing support, Medicine Horse is expanding its signature programming by an incredible 60% in 2024! This means we'll be able to reach even more individuals facing barriers to accessing mental health support.
At the heart of our mission is the commitment to providing free programs that make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most. We are proud to serve a diverse range of communities, including veterans, the LGBTQ+ community, BIPOC youth, and individuals impacted by cancer. In 2024, we will be expanding our existing signature programming and adding new programs, including a young adult recovery group and programs supporting individuals living in Weld County.
Moreover, in 2024, we will also be providing scholarships for free individual therapy, the first of these programs being the Theo Wayne Daniel Memorial Scholarship which supports youth struggling with substance abuse. It provides free one-on-one Equine Facilitated Therapy to aid individuals in their recovery with the goal of reducing the barriers to treatment that many face when dealing with substance abuse. We will be launching additional scholarship opportunities in the upcoming months with the support we received from all of you on Colorado Gives Day.
In addition to our free signature programs, we will be running multiple programs in collaboration with local community partners who are already servicing individuals we aim to support. We are grateful to our numerous community partners who recognize the transformative impact Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy and Learning can have on their communities.
