Theo Wayne Daniel Memorial Scholarship

The Theo Wayne Daniel Memorial Scholarship supports people struggling with substance abuse. It provides free one-on-one Equine Facilitated Therapy to aid individuals in their recovery. The goal of the scholarship is to save lives by reducing the barriers to treatment that face so many struggling with substance abuse.

Theo was a sweet and gentle soul with a sly smile, a contagious laugh, and a love of critters and the outdoors. He lived with an unrelenting curiosity for life and everything it had to offer. Being exceptionally gregarious, Theo never failed to make everyone around him feel welcome and comfortable. He was a loving and kind son, a supportive and caring brother, a loyal and amazing friend, and a gentle and adventurous soul. He lived solely to make those he cared about happy. He was taken from us far too soon.

Theo Wayne Rathert Daniel

November 8, 2001 - August 8, 2022 (20 years old)

In August of 2022, at 20 years old and after 8 months of sobriety, Theo became a victim of the fentanyl epidemic storming our streets. In witnessing Theo’s struggle, his family learned how a lack of resources can be a barrier to help for so many who seek it, and so, in his honor, they have created the Theo Wayne Daniel Memorial Scholarship with the goal of saving lives and preventing future tragedies.
