Carina Kellenberger is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Colorado native, who has a lifetime of experience working with horses.  She received her master's degree and certification in Animal Assisted Social Work from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work in 2012 and her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado in 2006. She has a unique approach to working with clients that combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Relational Therapy and Natural Lifemanship's model of Trauma Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (TF-EAP). Her method focuses on allowing for safe and unique learning opportunities, where clients can explore their boundaries, personal awareness, safety, and relationship patterns.  Treatment also focuses on neurodevelopment and recovery which is made possible though the rhythmic movement and tactile experiences that working with horses provides. Carina works with individuals, youth and families who are experiencing trauma, difficulty in life transitions, relationships, and behaviors.
