Anna Birman, MSW
Originally from Concord, Ohio, my passion for working in the mental health field led me to Stetson University in Florida, where I received my Bachelors in Psychology. Following this, my love of working with both people and animals led me to the University of Denver, where I recently graduated with a Master’s in Social Work, focused on Ecological Justice and Human-Animal-Environment Interactions. I have always had a passion for working with both humans and animals, and what better place to continue to explore this passion than with Medicine Horse!
I truly believe that the bond we share with animals is super important for our mental health and well-being!
I am so excited to be joining the team and begin working to expand Medicine Horses’ capacity for volunteers and future programs.
