Casey holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Boise State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science from Oregon State University. Casey’s lifelong passion for horses and animals has deeply influenced her therapeutic practice. From an early age, Casey experienced the connection between humans and horses and now seeks to share the therapeutic benefits of equine therapy with clients. Casey and the horses offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space for clients to explore their inner and outer worlds while working towards their therapeutic goals. Casey uses a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach, focusing on present-moment experiences to facilitate growth and healing. She utilizes CBT, parts work and solution-focused brief therapy to further enhance the experiential nature of equine therapy.
In addition to past experience as a Medicine Horse intern, Casey has completed Level 1 training in Equine Facilitated Learning and Coaching from the Academy for Coaching with Horses. Casey works with children, teenagers, families, and adults who who are going through life transitions, those looking to gain deeper insight and understanding of their behaviors, and those seeking harmony in their lives and relationships. Casey is currently accepting individual clients and families and also facilitates group sessions at Medicine Horse.
