As Medicine Horse celebrates our 25th anniversary, we’re launching Gather the Herd — a community initiative centered around connection, encouragement, and belonging.
When you make a gift toward our $25,000 anniversary goal, you can also leave a message for our Community Board — a few words that might help someone else feel less alone.
Your support helps create new FREE community programs and gathering spaces at Medicine Horse, including a community garden, book clubs, and a shaded pergola space where people can connect.
Why Gather the Herd?
At Medicine Horse, we see every day how powerful connection can be. Spending time outdoors, being around animals, and sharing space with others has a way of helping people slow down and feel grounded.
But connection doesn't always happen easily.
Many people today are searching for:

• Opportunities to meet others
• Spaces that feel welcoming and relaxed

A Community Celebration
Once our community garden and pergola gathering space are complete, we’ll invite everyone who contributed to Gather the Herd to join us for a special community celebration at Medicine Horse.
It will be a simple afternoon spent together, with:
• Good food
• Time with the horses and other animals
• A chance to meet others who helped make this space possible
During the event, everyone will also be invited to paint a rock for our garden space.
These painted rocks will become part of the garden itself — small reminders of the many people who helped create a place for connection and belonging.
Because Gather the Herd isn’t just about building a space.
It’s about building a community.
