About the Program

This group is now open to all individuals regardless of location!

This group is for high school-aged teens and their parents/caregivers, looking to improve relationships with themselves by exploring somatic awareness and nervous system regulation through the healing power of horses.

This group is offered to high school-aged teenagers for 6 weeks, in addition to offering parents/caregivers of participants two weeks of psychoeducation and skill building, to help improve communication and connected relationships. Participants and caregivers will be supported by licensed therapists and graduate-level counseling interns. The first meeting and the last meeting are open to parents/caregivers of participants.

Throughout the group, participants will learn about themselves through mindfulness practices, skill development, and relationship building. Horses allow for a safe and unique learning opportunity where participants can explore their boundaries, personal awareness, safety, and relationship patterns.

This program is funded by grants and is offered at no cost to participants. Donations are always welcome and appreciated!
