She | Her | Hers

Avery is a third-year graduate student at Naropa University in the Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling program. Avery grew up in Colorado and lived in Nashville, TN for several years where she earned her BA in Music Business & Entertainment. Prior to attending Naropa University, Avery worked in various roles across the hospitality industry, which eventually led her to discover and pursue her passion for mental health. Avery recognizes the transformative, healing power of animals, and she is deeply passionate about helping individuals access their own intuitive wisdom, and begin to holistically integrate their experiences through relational work with horses and other animals.

Her therapeutic approach is guided by a transpersonal lens and humanistic framework, incorporating elements of Gestalt Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Play Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, and Somatic Experiencing. Avery is a neurodivergence and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist who provides a safe, inclusive, compassionate, and non-judgmental therapeutic space for her clients. She enjoys working with individuals across all ages and identities, and she is extremely passionate about supporting children and their families, especially those who are navigating adoption or involved in the child welfare system.
