Barn Manager

My name is Danikah Baker. I started pursuing my passion for horses and the equine industry at 10 years old. Living in the suburbs, I had minimal access to barns, but I have an amazing support system through my parents, who helped me get involved when I was young. I was always taught riding and working with horses is a privilege, not a right. Being homeschooled K-12, I was able to adjust my schedule in order to spend as much time outside as possible, doing what I love. Through high school I spent my time training, and riding through Chatfield Park.

To continue my education and pursue a career in the equine industry, I attended Northeastern Junior College, and graduated with my Associate’s degree in Equine Management in 2021. During my time at school, I was a part of the NJC Ranch Horse Team. I was also showing a reining horse during my second year of college. My Equine Management degree included colt starting, equine science, feeding, health, and many other things. Once my schooling was completed I went on to fulfill an internship at a training barn, and have been working in the industry since.

I am certified in Equine Training, and have started and/or finished a large number of horses. I am currently the Barn Manager for Medicine Horse in Longmont. I have been blessed abundantly with the animals I have come in contact with in my years of doing this. I am extremely thankful to own a 9 year old, thoroughbred, mare, “Luna”. I live on-site at Medicine Horse to provide the animals with the best care possible. I have a deep passion for horses and people, and want to help everyone grow and achieve their goals. My priority is establishing the teamwork and communication between human and horse, to produce a happy and healthy environment for everyone.
